Energy and Sustainability Manager
Locations: Manchester, Leeds
Circa £65,000 Plus Car Allowance
We are working with a leading global real estate company within their Life Sciences Business Unit, to recruit an Energy and Sustainability Manager. This position will involve working closely with clients to help them understand their energy and carbon related targets, creating tailored strategies to reduce energy consumption, and carbon emissions.
This is a great opportunity to join a leader in their field, with the chance to grow a team around you. This is a multi-site, hybrid position, with work primarily split between sites across the Manchester, Leeds and North of England, and home working.
Responsibilities of the Energy and Sustainability Manager will include:
Understanding energy related targets, to develop energy strategies and create action plans, providing clarity and guidance on how to reach these targets
Assist in measuring energy consumption and carbon emissions, to identify areas of improvement and solutions
Monitor and calculate changes in savings across energy, carbon emissions and cost, using this to continually seek new reduction focused opportunities
Ensuring accurate reporting, and communicating this to relevant stakeholders, and internally across the organisation
The successful Energy and Sustainability Manager will have:
Proven experience in a similar role ideally within life sciences, manufacturing, pharmaceutical or a related field
Ideally a degree in Energy, Sustainability, Engineering, Building Services or related subject and ideally membership with CIBSE, or Energy Institute
Experience in project management, and managing budgets
A strong technical knowledge across energy and carbon emissions
The role will involve visiting sites so a UK Driver's license is essential.
