Radioactive Waste Manager
Location: Dorset
Salary: Circa £70,000 - £80,000 Plus Excellent Benefits
We've been engaged by an international leader in the Environmental services industry to recruit a Radioactive Waste Manager Reporting into the Health and Safety Director, this role will lead on establishing and implementing strong processes for the management of radioactive wastes.
The organisation has an excellent reputation in the industry, with a long history of successful operation across the UK and internationally.
Responsibilities of the Radioactive Waste Manager will include:
Managing technical, regulatory and operational consignment of all radioactive waste disposals
Coordinating all radioactive waste movements both into and out of the site
Keeping updated with key changes to legislation to ensure compliance
Managing the induction, training and development programme across the site
Promoting an effective radioactive waste management compliance culture for the business
The successful Radioactive Waste Manager will have:
Proven experience in a similar role within waste, recycling, nuclear, chemical or a related industry
Knowledge and experience in the management and processing of hazardous waste
Experience of DGSA Assessments and Radiological Waste Characterisation Assessments (desirable)
The ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organisation
