Process Safety Manager
North West (Sites from Bristol to Cornwall)
Salary: £55,000 Plus 20% Bonus, Car or Car Allowance and Excellent Benefits
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a global environmental services organisation, to recruit a Process Safety Manager. The company are leaders in their field and operate largely in the water and waste management sector including construction.
With an element of home working, this role is specifically responsible for all Process Safety matters on client sites based between Bristol and Cornwall.
Responsibilities of the Process Safety Manager will include:
- Producing Process Safety assessments and reports of new projects, including being responsible for ensuring suitable risk management strategies are implemented
- Establishing suitable and sufficient Process Safety assessments and reviews, utilizing techniques such as HAZID, HAZOP etc
- Responsible for managing and implementing a broad range machinery and process safety initiatives as well as monitoring and advising on various construction related projects
- Supporting with CDM regulations and compliance across the business
- Leading on new initiatives and always seeking opportunities to improve and develop Process Safety performance across the sites
The successful Process Safety Manager will have:
- A process safety/chemical related engineering background
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and membership of IOSH (ideally)
- Experience of practical application of risk management techniques HAZOP, HAZID, FMEA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all business levels
