Health and Safety Manager
Location: Northwest England
Salary: circa £50,000 + Car Allowance
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by one of the world's largest (and UK's leading) Facilities Management organisation, who are looking to bring onboard a new Health and Safety Manager.
The organisation has partnered with three large councils across the Northwest to provide soft and hard services within the local areas, such as supporting schools, museums, libraries, care homes and more. This role will be ensuring that the FM contractors are compliant across each of the sites, as well as liaising with staff on health and safety protocol.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:
- Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to assist and drive a positive culture
- Day-to-day support on the management of ISO-system 45001 and 14001
- Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions to drive performance improvements
- Ensuring all contractors are compliant on the given sites
- Meeting KPI metrics agreed between the two business parties
The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:
- NEBOSH general certificate / equivalent (and relevant IOSH membership); Diploma is desirable
- Proven experience in a similar health and safety role; ideally Property / Facilities Management
- Proven experience of ISO Management systems (45001 and 14001)
- A pragmatic approach to safety and the ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
