Health and Safety Advisor
Solihull | £60,000 + Car Allowance & Benefits
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a leading civil engineering contractor who turnover north of £100m to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. This role will be working closely with the Health and Safety Manager on a major long term infrastructure project.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to develop their health and safety career with a leader in the civil engineering industry.
Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Advisor will include:
Visiting sites, supporting with the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
Conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where required
Reviewing the production of risk assessments and method statements
Conducting audits and inspections of the site, identifying areas for improvement and helping write reports on the findings
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:
Proven experience in a similar role ideally from within construction or civil engineering
NEBOSH or NCRQ Certificate and ideally IOSH membership
Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders
