If so, we have an exceptional opportunity as an Environmental Advisor. This critical role allows you to play a key part in establishing environmental compliance and regulations in one of the UK's largest mines.
Responsibilities of the environmental advisor will include:
- Audits and Compliance - Conduct internal audits, report key findings and drive remedial actions to achieve ISO 14001 standards.
- Environmental Management - Supporting on the development and implementation of the environmental management system and environmental standards
- Regulatory Reporting - Liaise effectively with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders on environmental matters
- Training - Constantly scanning for opportunities to drive improvements, and deliver training where required
A successful environmental advisor will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within mining, construction, extractives or related heavy industrial experience.
- Qualified in an appropriate environmental discipline, and ideally membership of IEMA.
- A strong technical knowledge across relevant Environmental legislation, compliance and regulations, ideally with ISO 14001 experience.
- Excellent communications skills with a drive to have a real impact on a company and its environmental journey.
